Half-day itinerary that masterfully combines history with nature, the beauty of the alpine world and the wide panoramas with the suggestions of the Tedesco Cimbro traditions of Luserna/Lusérn, the distant Von Cimbarn. The Zimberland is the Land of the Cimbri, that is the wide territory that surrounds Luserna (Lusérn), a linguistic island.
The panoramic route cuts the upper side of the Rio Torto valley, reaches the Monterovere saddle, climbs up to touch Forte Busa Verle (war 1914-18), descends to Passo Vézzena (1400 m) and returns to Luserna along the long and scenic road of Costesin. It takes place totally on a dirt road.
Starting from Malga Millegrobbe, towards Luserna we descend towards Tézze and take the forest road that cuts the upper slope, left orographic of the Rio Torto valley passing through the village of Masetti; before reaching the loc. Malga Laghetto will arrive at the crossroads of Monterovere, then following the long dirt road that gradually climbs up to reach Spiazzo Alto and then descend towards Forte Busa Verle and Passo Vézzena. From the pass, slightly uphill towards Luserna, close to Malga Basson above, on a dirt road we will descend the long valley of the Bisele mountain huts.
Technical notes:
Medium route and not particularly demanding from a physical point of view along with the E-Bikes, pedal assisted bicycles. Suitable for a relaxed cycle excursion for those who do not want adrenaline thrills, but to experience nature in a “slow” way.
