In this bike tour, we offer you a very suggestive excursion in the northern area of Lake Garda. A very nice itinerary, connected by the wonderful bays of the Valley of the Lakes. Easy and relaxing, it features some slight technically demanding but absolutely manageable features.
It is a suitable bike ride also for power-assisted mountain bikes (E-Bike), fun and suitable for those who, on vacation at Lake Garda, want to experience an exciting and unusual adventure.
It is a ring road that runs along the Sarca river line north of Arco, rises to the lake of Cavedine crossing the incredible and somehow disturbing areas of the Dro Marocche. These, by extension and volume, represent “the most impressive landslide phenomenon for the collapse and sliding of stone material atanEuropean level” (source Wikipedia). The big fallen boulders gave rise to the name of this bike tour.
Leaving the Cavedine Lake behind us, we arrive at the small town of Sarche, not so far from lake Garda.
The return could be more challenging given the frequent summer breeze blowing in the afternoon onsunny days in this area (the so-called “Ora” of Garda). After a break at a local restaurant, where you can try and enjoy local food and drink, you will return to the starting point at Torbole.
